Udpate

Good Evening Friends and Family.

As many of you know, we are in the process of adopting 2 children from the Ukraine.

We have worked very, very hard since committing to the adoption in the end of June.

Completing a double adoption like this is a costly process. We had an initial bill of $35,500.

In these short few months we have done several things and I wanted to be sure to update you on our status...

We have had 2 bake sales,

done a car wash,

Car hopped at Sonic,

Flapjack fundraiser at Applebee's,

Gourmet Popcorn Sales,

Dinner and Silent Auction,

Puzzle Fundraiser,

Gourmet Lollipop Sales,

Sewing projects,

3 Garage sales,

Family Photo shoot Fundraiser,

Zumbathon,

Give back Nights at Andy Alligators,

Give back nights / serving at Van's Pig Stand,

Making and selling Homemade Pumpkin Pies,

Arbonne Sales,

Scentsy Fundraiser,

Partnering with other friends that are making goods and donating proceeds.

We have been able to raise $16,863.00 from all of the above events.

This leaves us a balance to be raised in the next 8 days of $18,637.00.

International adoptions are a legnthy, red tapey (is that even a word) and costly process. But, can you really put a price on a child's life? We have always had a heart for the fatherless and have known we'd adopt for years. God has blessed our every step and cleared the way when there seemed to be no way. We still have a long road ahed of us as we travel accross the world to get our children and welcome them into our family this next week.

We know he hasn't called us and brought us this far to leave us. We know all of the Cattle on a thousand hills are HIS and that as much as we care for and LOVE these kids that he LOVES them even MORE and he wants them here with us just as we do!

The Bible says he sets the lonely in families in Psalm 68:6. We have learned to trust him more and lean on him for our EVERY need as we've gone through this process. We have seen our children's faith and love for God grow as they see each and every miracle he sends our way.

God gave us two scriptures when we began this process and we cling tight to them every day. James 1:27 Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress.. and Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. We claim these scriptures over our children and our family.

God has also confirmed his plans for us in this adoption several times throughout the process and the one that I just have to share is this.. Isaiah 43:5 - I read this on a day that we were really struggling and again this last Sunday as the stress and worry of the financial burden was laying heavy on us .. it brings me to tears every time .. it says this...Do not be afraid, for I am with you; I will bring your children from the east and gather you from the west. Isn't our God great???

So, why have I sent you this?

We need YOUR help.

We need your prayers.

Please, take the time to pray for our family and the finances to be provided so we can go get our children this next week.

We don't want to even think about what will happen if we don't raise this money because it would break so many many hearts. Including those of our current 3 children, our 2 new children that are waiting for us and dreaming of having a family of their own that loves them and wants them so badly and lastly our hearts.

Please prayerfully consider what your part is in helping save these children.

100% TAX DEDUCTABLE Donations can be done on our blog by clicking on our son's picture on the left side of the blog http://NewHornerFamily.blogspot.com and will be completed through Eli Project, a ministry of FBC Moore.

We sincerely appreciate you taking the time to read this and pray about what God would have you do to help the least of these.

What better gift could you give this year than the gift of life,

a godly, loving family, hope and future?

Thank you.

Bryan & Alecia Horner
